Oscars fever 2013: The best of

The Academy Awards are over, the winners got their Oscars and in a couple of days the media’s interest towards the event will fade away. But I’m sure at least one person will remember it as it was – one of the most amazing nights. This person is me. Here is a list of why this year’s Oscars were so special:

1. Seth MacFarlane as a host

Though he received a lot of negative comments towards his hosting the 85th Academy Awards, in my humble opinion, Seth MacFarlane did a wonderful job. He made the audience laugh and entertained them throughout the whole event. And I must say, it must have been a tough challenge keeping so many celebrities’ attention for more than 4 hours!

2. Jennifer Lawrence

Exceptionally talented and charming, Jennifer Lawrence is more than just a pretty face. She is the owner of this year’s Oscar for best leading actress for her role in “Silver Linings Playbook”. Brilliant doesn’t come to describe her acting, as well as amazing doesn’t come to a close to her personality. There was no one that could have tripped and fallen on the stage and looked as gracious as she did.

3. Les Miserables’ performance

Les Miserables was one of the most exceptional films I’ve ever seen and last night’s performance gave me indescribable joy.

4. Michelle Obama

Whoever’s idea it was to get the president’s wife Michelle Obama to announce the final award – that for a best picture – it was genius! Mainly because no one expected it. Moreover, her speech was inspiring. God bless America!

The youngest Oscar nominee in the history of the Awards, Quvenzhané Wallis had also the most outstanding outfit on the red carpet. With her fashionable bag and witty attitude, she was more than adorable.
